Joshua has been a writer and performer in the Twin Cities for over 25 years.
Fresh out of school with a theater degree in one hand and an Emmy Award in the other, Joshua started his professional writing/performing career at Dudley Riggs' Brave New Workshop and Instant Theater Company. Three years and Nine shows later, Joshua left the workshop to start up his own satirical theater company, The Recovery Party. His first endeavor? The Edinburgh Fringe Theatre Festival where his troupe became the first first-time foreign entrant to sell-out consecutive performances in over a decade.
Since then, Joshua has crafted ten original comedy revues, mountains of material for other companies — Copywriting, script doctoring, brainstorming — for television spots, print ads, corporate/instructional videos, social media sites, film, live presentations … work that can’t be limited to a book.
Speaking of, he’s written a book. He’s even penned a few award-winning short films. And when he’s not doing that, he works as Entertainment Director and Creative Content Producer for the St. Paul Saints Baseball organization.
Go ahead and feel free to look around the site. Category tags are up on top. Cold beverages are in the fridge. Throw your coats on the bed and stay awhile.
"What really stands out is the seriously good comedy writing by Joshua Will ... He understands that a joke has to make one very clear point and then stop. You can run the joke again, but the next time, it needs a change up, and the next time has to top them all. He gets it, he really does." (HowWasTheShow.com)

“THE COOKIE PROJECT” (Contributing Writer)
Everybody likes cookies. Everybody likes freshly made cookies. And everybody really likes having someone deliver freshly-made cookies right to their front door. So why can't Leo (the guy who delivers these freshly-made cookies) appreciate this? Join Leo on a single day's journey as he makes a series of deliveries, affects a number of customers amid their individual trial and tribulations, and makes some important decisions about the future of his job, his marriage, and what it truly means to be a smart cookie.
"HUMAN" ( Teaser trailer/proof of concept short film). Inspired by the 1979 Classic "Alien" this movie flips the idea of an Alien terrorizing a human spaceship. In Human a Dairy Farmer terrorizes an alien UFO as he fights to retrieve his favorite cow. It’s a great comedy screenplay. Seriously.

STAGE
STAGE
Gonna be honest here. To experience a stage production, it’s best to see it in a theater (or a “theatre” if it’s really fancy). It just doesn’t translate that well to web video. That being said… here are some videos.
"We Are All Criminals" challenges society’s perceptions of what it means to be “criminal.” Through intertwined song, sketch, imagined conversations, candid images and shared stories, this production brings to life the history, hardships and hopes of those who committed (or were accused of) committing crimes, those who got away with them, and those who have been directly affected by the criminal justice system.

Minnesota Vikings 50th Anniversary Celebration Minneapolis Convention Center Agency: The Recovery Party Client: The Minnesota Vikings
“When we were planning our 50th season year-end celebration, we needed something unique to break up your typical anniversary event… and The Recovery Party provided just what we needed. Several unique skits highlighting different components of Vikings history… with a comedic touch… such as Bud Grant, Tailgating, Fans Through The Years, etc. It was a perfect balance to an event that recognized the history of the Vikings as well as naming the 50 Greatest Vikings of All-Time.”
